The high-end component system UG-BMW10NU shows its perfection in every detail: from the innovative die-cast aluminium basket to the specially developed carbon fibre fleece sandwich membrane, this speaker is a real masterpiece.
The 10 cm/4 inch UG-BMW10NU is compatible with all BMW and MINI models where the bass-midrange driver is screwed from the front against the door panel or the inner panel (N type, see picture compatibility list). The sealing surface is located on the back of the basket rim. The extremely flat neodymium magnet allows plug & play installation even in confined installation spaces of current vehicle models - without additional adapter rings or plugs, while maintaining the original design.
The highlight of the mid/woofer is the membrane: it consists of fine carbon fibres, which are glued into an airy fleece and baked in several layers to form a stiff, particularly light sandwich membrane – the basis for uncompromisingly high-performance high-end sound. The anodised aluminium dustcap for optimal heat dissipation and the strong neodymium magnet with large core bore and high-gloss turned pole plate ensure explosive fine dynamics that are unparalleled!
The newly developed 28 mm (1 1/8") tweeter with its large voice coil comes in the smart installation dimensions of the 25 mm original tweeter. The silky, soft sounding fabric tweeter has a special, hand-applied coating that has an anti-interference effect. The multi-vented coupling volume ensures a strong, contoured and extremely precise drawing tweeter. The special dome geometry with the open touch protection increases the round beam property.
